On October 20, Cherie and I welcomed some of our family (the rest of you are invited as well) to the most beautiful campus in the world. Though it was the weekend of the BYU vs Notre Dame football game, the three of them came to see us.Mom and Dad arrived from China the day before, and needless to say...

the weekend got off to a slow start.

But after a switch of drivers, we got things rolling a bit. We went to Amish country, the College Football Hall of Fame, and ate some ice cream. It was fantastic to be with the family in our own country. The leaves were changing colors, with trees everywhere. More than once Mom mentioned how it was just like Indiana, because it was. And more than once, infact 91 times, Brandon said, "Huh Mom."

On Saturday we got to see some real Notre Dame Football. The atmosphere was great. We went to some tailgates, ate some hamburgers, and stradled-up for some football.

After the game we met at the library, known as "Touchdown Jesus". Mom thought it was inappropriate.

Though I can't speak for everyone, I had a great time. It was wonderful to be with the family, and to share a wonderful part of our lives with the ones we love. We know everyone is busy, but you are all invited to visit. It is a great place to be.

Woo Hoo Marky! Congratulations on being the first Gurney to post on the blog that was beginning to look decidedly Cutler-centric. Long live the Gurneys!
So we want you to post more pictures with Cherie in them! We almost forgot she was there--she must have been the photographer.
